About Us

 About Us

On holiday in California, over 20 years ago, we visited Yosemite National Park. Hoping to be able to stay in a cabin we stopped in the park, only to find that we were too late. We were offered a yurt as an alternative. We had never come across such a thing before but soon agreed once we had seen one. At the time we talked about how we would like to be able to offer something like this and now we've been able to make it happen.

Graywood Farm

Graywood Farm is a small, family run, working farm. Over the last decade we have farmed Charolais cattle and Southdown sheep. Currently we have sheep grazing across the land.

As with many farms now, we also have diversified with several small businesses being based onsite.

It is highly likely that there will be sheep in field a short way from the yurts and you may be able to see them from your window.

East Hoathly

East Hoathly is a small village which has a shop with a Post Office, a Cafe/Boutique, Public House, hairdresser and a second hand book shop.  There are also a number of small businesses and a pizza van which stops by once a week.
